XPS 13 and D3100 WiFi issue

The wifi on my XPS13 actually works with no problems when it's not hooked up to the D3100. Once I hook it up to that however, it becomes intermittent. Connected, dropped, connected, dropped. I've updated all drivers, no luck. Any suggestions?
