So I have a Dell Inspiron 24 3459 touch screen aio, and I want to replace its guts the motherboard and CPU combo from a Dell Inspiron 14 5515. So I have the new 5515 board all working, I got ram. I got ssds. I got this dope little piece that adds a type e and an extra front. I o port to it, I put Wi-Fi 6E in it, thing is slapping. I love it. But I haven't put it in the AIO yet because I can't figure out how to utilize the touch screen. The pictures are of the actual touch control board, and then it outputs a tiny little five pin connector to the motherboard, on a spot that's just labeled touch. I think that it is a USB 2.0 interface, but I can't find anything else using this connector. This connector I can't find any board view for the board on the original 3459, which is a V03J3 with an i5 6200u. I am pretty sure that the control board for the touch screen does all of the actual processing, and that all it has to do is output a USB 2.0 signal to the motherboard, so in theory I should be able to splice that cord to maybe a micro USB or just a regular USB. And then plug that into the new motherboard. But I'm looking for some sort of confirmation, if anybody else has. Any other idea what this might be, perhaps what that port is called, it does have five pins. If anybody can help, please hit me up, thank you very much.
