Researchers throughout Delaware are gearing up for an urban heat island mapping campaign this summer — one saying they "expect to see areas light up on this heat map that are significantly hotter than areas maybe just a block away." It all happens on one day, shooting for one of the hottest of the year for the Wilmington area. And, turns out they are looking for local volunteers to run the routes with heat sensors. Interested? More in the story: "Do you feel more summer heat than other Wilmington residents? Mapping study aims to find out."
