It’s time to Defund the Police. The systemically racist system can’t be fixed, because it is not broken. It is working exactly as designed. The violence and racism are baked in. That’s why we have to dismantle it. And find a new way. Let’s take the money used to buy tanks and grenade launchers for police departments and spend it on mental health and homeless shelters.
