So, I've got a bit of a story that I'll keep extra abridged. I'm schizoaffective and an acid trip once made me believe that the CIA was training me to complete a mission. I know it's delusions, but what those delusions did was make me into a propaganda machine here on Reddit. I had all these techniques and strategies to either open the left to the right or vice versa through nonviolent communication, or further cementing a person's beliefs through trolling, or dividing the narrative with conspiracy posts, or create conversion funnels to get more eyes on particular content. I was good at what I did, and now that the spell has broken, I use all that the CIA "taught" me to create what I call awakening propaganda; inspirational, educational, and humorous content to help people self-actualize.

Yea, woo, I got a fun story. But, knowing all that I know about Reddit, how it works and how the masses think and behave, it increasingly seems like there's too much potential to control the hivemind that is being wasted. There has to be some nefarious groups wrestling for dominance. I mean, of course I see the obvious shills and bots and glowies in the political, news, and conspiracy subs, but it would be so easy for a dozen people with my skills in marketing, sociology/psychology, and writing to completely take over and handful of smaller subs by being an abundant presence as power users with many accounts, gradually eroding those subs' cultures and individuality, until all that's left is a husk made up of people with an agenda and those simps who most closely align with the new party lines.

I know this happens. I saw the aftermath of the r/digitalcartel takeover, and I was present when r/ShrugLifeSyndicate almost got taken over by people who wanted to push an agenda, so I know this happens, but I'm just at a loss at what scale this could be happening? What are your thoughts.
