Our universe only lasts a finite amount of time, with a finite population. Each person may be presented with a finite amount of choices in their finite lives. While the number of possibilities that could have been is insanely large based on many influences from sources who also had a finite amount of choices, the amount of paths that the universe could have taken can still be counted. Furthermore, if we define universes in a hypothetical multiverse as all being unique at least once, then there are also a finite amount of universes. TL;DR: there are finite possibilities (and possibly multiverses) because everything is finite This thought was extremely difficult to put into words, and I hope I was able to get my thought across.
