all progress lost after opening game through discord.

When i opened drg through discord i was dropped into the tutorial(really cool opening animation btw) despite already having played the game for 600 hours. Even when i opened it through steam after that my in game progress was still lost. Steam has saved all my achievements and hours played but everything else is gone. How can i recover my ingame progress?
