I stayed at the DCHS campground. Lots of RVs there!

Wind was pretty bad at my campsite - I think I picked a bad spot, on the hill near the trailhead. Setting up my tent, it kept blowing over in the wind. And it’s nearly impossible to drive stakes into the hard ground there. So I decided to say screw it and sleep in the back of the car - it’s big enough that I could lay out.

Anyway, I hiked down and passed a few people on the way. No nude hikers except me!

Springs were pretty busy. Lots of people camping at the springs, and unfortunately not all cleaning up after themselves.

Two other nude folks, in addition to me. Probably 25 textiles or so, including a family with 5 girls, all middle school/high school aged. They spent a lot of time hanging out with a lovely young lady named Becks (sp?) who did the slack line with them and jumped off the rocks. Becks was one of the other nude people, and the girls seemed to think she was really cool. I wanted to hang out with her more, but didn’t want to impose or make the girls’ parents nervous, so I stayed to myself. Curious how others feel about this - obviously the kids were aware of an okay with social nudity, but as a single man, the only nude man, I understand that it’s important to be respectful. Did I do the right thing?

Hiked back up naked, camped out, and turned in for sleep around 10. When I woke up around 6am, there was another RV right next to my car, blocking my beautiful view. I wish they’d parked elsewhere. Oh well.

I debated whether or not to go back down, but ultimately did. The hike was harder because I was sore, but this time I had the springs almost entirely to myself. Really relaxing. A few other nude folks showed up - seemed like a family, maybe, but all adults and all nude.

A couple of pools are still underwater fully or partially, and one pool was exceptionally low on Monday but back to full on Tuesday. Wonder why. I carried out what trash I could. Sooo many clothes along the path. Thigh-high leather boots. Two pairs of underwear. A sports bra. Y’all, I am VERY in favor of seeing people take their clothes off, but not a big fan of littering with them. Pick up!
