To those of you new to the springs, when it rains a lot, deep creek rises to the point the pools are underwater. As it rises the force of the creek also becomes stronger and deeply erodes the beach where the arizona pool is located. It carries that sand into the other pools like the serenity pool and the womb pool.
I stopped by the springs yesterday and the creek was still high enough that the two lowest pools(arizona and serenity) were underwater while the womb pool(the largest pool) was above but had evidence of being inundated with water when the creek was at its highest level on Monday. It was full of dead fish and reeds. The water in all the remaining pools is brown and turbid from the ground runoff flowing into the pools.
All this is to say, as the creek level recedes, the pools will not be pristine. It is more likely that you may contract folliculitis from soaking until the pools have been properly cleaned. Nearly all the pools have drains and can/should be drained and refilled with fresh water. The pool hoses you may see around the springs are used to create a gravity siphon to removed debris from the bottom. The pools that are still under water may be filled with sand/dead fish/plant matter and will need to be dug out. So if you plan on visiting the hot springs this month, lower your expectations or prepare to put in some work!
