A number of posts here bemoan that weekends have been overrun with textiles, loud music and large groups of families. Maybe this happens on holidays and some weekends, but this Saturday (yesterday) we only saw two very, very small family units. The crowd was decent sized, but not overwhelming at all--maybe 70 or so people spread along the creek all day. There were NO large family groups and NO loud music all day--we were there from abut 10:30 until 5:30. Many people were nude or topless--especially in the pools and the "beach" area upstream away from the small families.
Surprisingly, we also crossed paths with a larger-than-usual number of nude or topless hikers. We always see a few on the trail, but Saturday we counted 11, including a group of four young women hiking topless.
Everyone respected each other and had a good time in nature! We will be back soon . . . before the cold temps set in.
