Is the point to foment rebellion?
Post Body

Hey y'all. My partner asked me to listen to Bret's latest as part of an ongoing argument he and I have about if Bret understands Wikipedia. He very much doesn't, but during the first half hour or so of the podcast he and his guest, who I'd never heard of, were talking about how the "Great Reset" aspect of the pandemic was part of the UN 2030 goals for climate change and the covid lockdowns were the proof of concept and precursor to coming "climate lockdowns." I feel like I've discovered a Rosetta Stone here. Is the whole point of the IDW, at this moment in time, to continue to raise fear and suspicion around government control centered on lockdowns and encouraging listeners to arm against them? I can see how this would keep audiences locked in, financially supporting podcasters (which was a HUGE part of Bret's complaints about Wikipedia, boo hoo, dude), and on edge about what conspiracies they're brewing up to 'lock us all down.' What do you all think? Am I finally getting it or is this a minor detail?
