Former big Jordan Peterson fan back in about 2016-2020 after discovering his psychology videos. I've been turned off in the past few years as I imagine most folks are subscribed to this sub.
On multiple occasions I recall JBP stating that he has said some version of that he has been studying climate change for 20 years. Upon first hearing it, I hadn't thought about it much but stating that felt credible. Ya know, 20 years is a long time and he's a very intelligent person.
my question is this: what does one have to do for 20 years for that to be a meaningful statement? Surely you can't just read the weather report on a daily basis to have credibility. What did he do? Read a book or a few papers every couple years? When I first heard it made me imagine him pouring over journal articles in his free time all throughout the last 20 years. But now I suppose this is just hyperbole and JBP being a "Galaxy brain" (lol just learned this term here). Let me know what y'all think. Thanks!
