For the last thousand years, the Atòrganì have sat silently, letting the world pass over them. Collapsing under the might of Asor, then the sickness that followed. The great invaders, who conquered a world played the people of Kega against themselves. Using people's greed and promises of power to turn what should have been a united force against each other. Coming down from the Senlin's territory, they stormed the lands all the way to the Hìt River, stopping at nothing. only Khasapa gave a fight but retreated behind the wall of blue. Eventually, even the great spiritual home of the Atòrganì fell to the invaders. After the Assorians left, things returned to normal, where things stayed the same.
The great cities of the north sit passively, large and fat with their greed, the flies thick in the skies feasting off their decadence. South of the river Hìt, poor and unorganized people live in small villages, the only form of any unity is the mounds and the priests who live there keeping the entire region from falling into chaos.
But the status quo for the last millennium is changing. The plaza under the shadow of the Sun Mound in Khasapa was as busy as ever yet also perfectly quiet. Two groups stand opposite each other, both covered in red tunics. The Sun Priest stood wearing his pure white tunic, surrounded by a plentitude of the warrior farmers Khasapa was known for housing in the great fort-mound. Across from him, depending on who you asked was either Shà l bher, the Brave Raider himself, or a deranged lunatic who has amassed quite a large following from the far south. Shà l bher stood there wearing an even darker red tunic than the men who claim to worship him, surrounding him is an equally large group of followers. However, instead of wearing the red tunics that mark a follower of Shà l bher, these followers of the god-come-alive wear the simple, undyed tunics of the farmers who worship Atòr.
Shà l bher was furious with the man who claimed to have spiritual authority over the god. "How dare you deny your destiny! I am a God reborn, it is my- neigh, our destiny for me to lead us to greatness! If you deny my power again there will be a price to pay. My loyal followers have traveled across Kega to come here, to this holy place to be crown the one true leader of all Kegani people."
Rain. It started as a light drizzle immediately following the man talking. Then it turned into a downpour in a matter of seconds. The two groups stood in silence for a time, letting the cool water wash over them.
"Thà m bhìn may look fondly upon you stranger, but I do not. These rains mean nothing to me. You're no god, you're just a pesa-"
A bolt of lightning struck the river behind the group of men, cutting off the Sun Priest in the middle of denouncing the god. Almost every man jumped except one: Shà l bher. He stood frozen staring at the Sun Priest as the sky lit up with a display of his power.
"Now if you're done talking, your men seem to be kneeling to me." The Sun Priest looked around to realized that not just the imposter's men were kneeling, but his own men were too. Unfortunately for the man, his thoughts were stopped short by the spear that Shà l bher was holding the entire conversation. The Sun Priest's white tunic was stained red by his own blood, the spear still in his heart. His cold body let to wash away in the rain.
