The Ruffo tend to separate themselves into small tribes that rarely will meet anyone who is not from their tribe or from their immediate neighbors. One of these tribes to the very east of Ruffo territory is lead by a young and fiery man named Pasho who is known to be the first to throw a punch. Starting fights with the other children in his tribe his father decided it would be best to teach him how to be a skilled fighter. In the past Pasho has picked fights with the neighboring tribes to prove that he is the best fighter in the (known) world and slowly came to control several tribes besides his own.
Rumors have spread through the Ruffo that a huge ship attacked and destroyed several of Rrot's best boats. Pasho has heard these rumors and decided to pick another fight while the Tupai were recuperating from this mysterious attack. Now, the Ruffo tended to leave the Tupai alone since there wasn't much to gain from their towns, so not much past rumors are known about the Tupai to the Ruffo. His plan is to bring 25 of his best hunters and prove his dominance to the Tupai living in Reem by seriously wounding some of them.
The plan started before the sun rose. Collecting his men on the treeline 20 paces away from the decrepit walls of Reem, Pasho watch as the fishing boats, both Vootos and canoes, trickle out of the protective walls and out into the endless blue waters. From Pasho's position, he could see the roofs of 7 buildings inside the semi-circle walls on the flat coast that Reem is built on.
When the sun was high in the sky Pasho went to strike. While most of the Tupain ships were out collecting fish Pasho and his men grabbed their stone spears and extra rocks and carefully walked up to the unguarded walls of the Tupai village. Upon closer examination of the wall it appears that over the years the ignorant Tupai haven't kept it in very good shape, only replacing the wood when a section falls down. Using the rocks they grabbed earlier the men were able to destroy some of the rotting wall and sneak into the back of the village without anyone noticing.
The first thing the men noticed of the Tupain town was that all the houses seemed to face the ocean, not one had an entrance facing them. The second thing Pasha and his men noticed was that the middle building was significantly longer than the three buildings on either side of it.
Selecting the closest building to them, Pasha toke three men and snaked around to the front, avoiding excess sound and the sight of the Tupai. Waiting until the shore was empty they enter the empty house through the hole in the totem pole that is used as a door. They see an odd sight, a hallway made of old wood with many rooms branching off it, nothing like how the Ruffo live.
Hearing voices down the hall the Ruffo duck into the first door on the left. The room they entered wasn't to grand, having several wool blankets hanging from the wall and on the floor. The rest of the room's objects were personal items like clothes and a small shrine to the Thunderbird. Noticing the voices cutting off, the men checked to see if the coast was clear. After making sure the coast was clear they started to make their way through the house, ducking into one room or another when they were almost caught by the women in the back. Once in the last room they could hear the strange language of the Tupai through the walls. It sounded like there were 6 or 7 women and children talking.
Running around the corner to confront their targets, time seemed to freeze for the intruders. Seeing the Tupai with their tattooed faces and strange clothes eating strange food and smoking strange plants. 7 Tupai in total stop what they are doing and stare at their "visitors" one little girl stands up and yells "RUFFO!" Then panic struck out in the room, one boy darted for the entrance, several ran for the back of the room, and some of the older kids went to grab weapons.
Pasha ordered one of his men to grab the kid screaming and then Pasha grabbed the kid trying to escape down the hall he was standing in. When the yelling girl wouldn't shut up even with a hand over her throat an order was given to shut her up by force. Then, the children with the spears got ready and tried to attack Pasha and his men. Quickly, two went down due to rocks sprouting from their heads. Then, another went back down when a spear appeared in their chest.
Eventually, 6 children were dead with only the old lady alive to tell the tail to the other Tupai. Pasha and the other Ruffo disappear back into the forests of Ranahi with only the dead left to mark where they were.
