Shakha Lew was a Monk in the Monastery for 5 Khatha (23 years) before he took that name. Most theologians at the Monastery study the texts of the epic of Rewbewkh and of other theologians, but Shakha Lew spent his time at the Monastery meditating and studying other religions, specifically Arianism. He spent 23 years learning the secrets of what religion is about, what being a person is about.
On his 23rd anniversary of being a Monk, Shakha Lew finished fasting for 43 days straight and Shakha Lew realized something about gods and men: gods shouldn't be something to be worshiped or feared like in Thobism, but also not something to hate and despise like in Arianism. Gods were something to be respected, something to be studied, but it should still be known that power does not come from the gods but from man. Shakha Lew said "There is no god above man."
In Thobism most of the gods have either disappeared, died, or lost interest in humans. During the Petty Kingdoms period of Rewbokh history lots turned towards the gods to try and fix the situation, and after 200 years nothing has changed. Through Shakha Lew's meditation and studies he has learned the secrets of the universe, and became the Enlightened One.
Shakha Lew was not the only Enlightened One, for he had 5 followers; Bra-ew, Shra Tew, Thokh, John, and Newshew. After his revelation, Shakha Lew and his disciples preached their ideas to the other Monks in the Monastery, showing them the miracles of man once he is enlightened. Shakha Lew's first miracle was turning rancid meat raw. The Monastery was convinced of the power of man shown by Shakha Lew and his disciples. Shakha Lew wasn't just all about being spiritual, but Shakha Lew also wanted to unite the Rewbokh after all these years of speration. He was elected as the new head of the Monastery and started off his conquests.
