Cortez Cesar is the head of the AoA party (If there was one) and is a well respected military general. And today is his day. He knows he can't just kill the Emperor- he would be hated, but Mina has become weak; a family man. The country needs a new leader. And Cesar will be that leader.

"Cesar, how will this work? Bribing Mina? The man owns a damn nation!"

"You nitwitt! I've told you the plan countless times!" Cesar was not a patient man, especially with Jose (who couldn't seem to retain any information past 5 minutes) "sorry boss" was the only reply Cesar would get out of the man when he yelled.

"Sorry boss" came the reply

'Almost like clockwork' thought Cesar. They were to meet with Mina in several days- Mina thought it was a talk about reorganizing the military (which ins't all untrue- he doesn't want to increase his control on the military by reorganizing it.) What they will be really doing is bribing him- with his own life.

January 20, 12:01

The four men, Cesar, Jose, and two men from the military who Cesar trusted entered Mina's meeting room in the Imperial palace. The place was very modest for an Emperor, but still showed his wealth. Mina was dressed in a suite and tie and got very concerned when seeing the two armed men.

"What is this Cesar? How did my men let two armored men in?"

"Don't worry, my emperor, we are just here to talk about the military. I propose a military more than twice the size of our last one, 200,000 strong. It'll show not just your people, but people across the world that we mean business and are coming back from the war."

"I don't know Cesar, we should work on growing our alliance network instead."

"Allies can falter! A military will be loyal!"

"Alliances are free"

"My military will be completely loyal to the nation, to you! They'll do anything you say!"

"I've made my decision, we are done."

"I would fear you say that. Look, the government is run by my men- the population loves the AoA party an wants a military. It's going to happen one way or another, with your cooperation or not. Just do what we ask of you and you'll be fine- if not, we'll have to take matters into our own hands."

"What do you mean? Are you threatening me?" The Emperor got skittish very quickly. In hindsight- why do people think he's a good leader? He can't even keep his cool. "Guards! Capture these traitors!"

And with that, the Emperor was shot. His guards would never show up- they were loyal to Cesar. They didn't want it to go this way, but it had to if the government wanted to move forward. But how to frame the death? He had to kill his companions an make it look like they were anti-government attackers.

It was a long night, but the dukes met, or at least the ones left did, to talk about the future of the nation. Prince Matthew Mina and the old Empress, Elizabeth Mina were the only ones who didn't vote for Cesar to be Emperor- but they will be dealt with soon.
