I just posted this in the handyman sub and someone suggest I put it here.
Elderly client paid $7k upfront for labor for two decks. Legal company near Atlanta sent some sketchballs out. She said they were barely working and she called to complain. She told the owner the work was subpar and he defended his guys without coming to the site first and she got upset and threw the crew off site. Owner refused any kind of refund, and she is asking me to just finish the job and make it as decent as I can.
I told her we should start from scratch but she has very little money left and was doing this project to put the house up for sale.
I initially came to give her a quote to finish siding her home, which they also left in shambles. She's asking me to just get this to acceptable enough to sell the home in November.
This is the large, front deck. Thoughts on this work? What can I do with a low budget to make it reasonably safe?
