Hi all. Relative newbie to weightlifting & fitness here. Current weight is 58kg (9 stone 3), standing tall at 5 foot 6 😆 (M/29). Did weights about 10 years ago for a year using dumb bells & a chest bar with weights on & gained next to nowt in terms of weight really, put a little muscle on. Gave up in 2010. Decided to try give it another go as I'm sick of being so skinny & to try improve my self confidence which honestly couldn't be much lower.
A lad at my work has recommended I give creatine a try to try help me gain some weight (I also have a fast metabolism. I've never been above 10 stone in my life). I know I'll still have to do weights/push ups etc otherwise there's no point in using it. Been looking on Amazon at a few products but knowing not much about creatine, I'm not sure what's good & what's going to be a waste of money. I guess my questions are these:
How do I go about using creatine? Should I use it every day? Are there any negative health benefits to using it? What sort of gains am I likely to see? What will happen if I stop using creatine? Is weight gain from creatine permanent? Can anyone personally recommend any of the creatine or any other weight/muscle gain products on Amazon?
Hopefully one day I'll have the confidence in my body to sign up for a gym & go & ask annoying questions, but for now working out at home will have to do. I am committed to giving it a decent try, been working out every day since the new year in some shape or form. Even on days when I've not wanted to lift weights I've at least pushed myself to knock out at least 100 push ups.
Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.
