I want to be more positive but need advice or pointers.

I feel over the last year, maybe just 6 months, I have become increasingly negative. It makes me hate myself some days and I don’t know how people deal with me. I know my battle with mental health makes it harder as this is a definite tie in, but I don’t want it to be an excuse. I want to be more positive and do the things I enjoy again. Advice is welcomed and appreciated.
