A supernatural explanation for Paul's Vision of Jesus is the best one.

I have been unable to find an explanation for Paul's vision of Jesus other than the supernatural one. I found arguments that the former members of the Twelve disciples would hallucinate Jesus plausible, considering that they were in grief and knew him in life, but I never found the argument convincing for Paul. Paul was an opponent of Christianity who sought to end the religion and harassed its followers. Why would Paul's mind hallucinate Jesus in a positive manner considering his hostility to the religion? I've heard the guilt explanation. but there's really no evidence that Paul felt this way in his seven undisputed epistles, according to critical scholars. On the contrary, Paul portrays himself as a highly confident person in his pre-Christian views prior to his vision. So what would be some other psychological explanations for this? Or are there any examples in non-Christian religions of someone going from a hostile attitude to convert based on a vision? Your perspectives would be appreciated.
