Would "collecting" be frowned upon in a communist society?

Post Body

I understand that a lot of modern collectors and certain hobbyist are enabled by current class standards, capitalistic drive. (I'm thinking of things like cars or designer shoes or old comic books. Things that tend to be inaccessible due to a price tag or lack of said item.)

But what if all needs are met and everyone has the same access to anything and everything.

Are the 1000 records that I owned through a communist system now an extreme symbol of capital?

Would I be forced to display my 10,000 miniatures collection for everyone's amusement to offset my 'hoarding'?

At what point are my private belongings, legally obtained through the system and for no other reason than my pure enjoyment of these things, to be deemed excessive/no longer 'mine'?

Is the point that the collecting mindset is purely a product of capitalism and in a commune I'll never want more? That collectors will naturally phase post re-education? That a new standard of life will replace the way we appreciate items?
