Think of a circle, think if itβs properties. Every circle, no matter what, must have these properties, otherwise it is not actually a circle. But a perfect circle does not exist in the physical world, it only exists as a mental concept. The mental concept of the circle is useful in identifying circular things that DO exist. Things that LOOK like a circle, things that dance around the idea of the circle. The circle is a real concept, but no circles exist. Only imperfect representations of circles exist. This same understanding can be applied to God. God is the idealized and perfected concept of reality. But God does not exist in the physical world. Godly things exist in the world. How do we recognize godly things? Using our conception of God! Godly things are not God, they are imperfect (imperfect is not a negative term) representations of God, things that dance around the unchanging image of God. In this case, everything, every moment, dances around the idea of God. Properties of God are properties that are found in everything, not all of them at once, but in unique combinations and patterns. This is because God characterizes ALL properties. So God as a concept is real, but God does not exist. Godly things exist, and we use the concept of God to recognize them.
