I find it very difficult to believe any Christians who claim to be using “God-centered” reasoning. This is supposedly a transcendent position from others who use “man-centered” reasoning. I don’t even want to claim such a state is impossible, granted there is an Abrahamic God. But I really doubt that those who would truly be in touch with an elevated access to “God-centered” reasoning would be so eager to announce their superiority. In essence I’m saying a deep humility and loving openness should be a sign of God-centered reasoning, if it exists (as dissolution of ego/selfishness is one definition I have heard). Not a rhetorical device to claim doctrinal superiority over others. The latter is sadly how I have experienced most Christians who claim such reasoning. And it becomes very difficult to evaluate and contest truth claims if your interlocutor claims they have possession of reasoning beyond your comprehension.
But these may be misconceptions about what these terms mean to most Christians—please correct me if so.
