I enjoyed it!
Yeah it's 'bad', overly sensitive controls, bizarre physics. But you adapt and learn to drift around with York's chaotic style.
Consider the opening scene. York is driving at high speed in dark pouring rain. Having a thesis discussion on the phone while smoking, doing research on a laptop, looking at evidence. The game handicaps us so we can more fully embody York.
I appreciate the 'realistic' long distances, it breaks up the gameplay, adds to tension and comedy. My first time driving back to the hotel after midnight was seriously spooky. The radio is a godsend for sure but I only got it halfway through.
Collecting the different character cars is fun as well, getting a feel for attribute distributions. York's car music is so obnoxious I prefer Thomas' car for good balance and music, sometimes Keith or one with Max speed and low handling for extra skidding fun.
Another detail I enjoyed, Harry's Mansion. Even with the radio you can only warp to the gate. It's a long drive from there which highlights Mr. Stewart's social distance from the other residents of Greenvale.
