Help, can't get the floor one code circle to work

So I already did one melee/stomp code circle and recieved a text log first try. Im trying to do the other one that is on floor 1 of the bridge, the one that gives you two nodes, but its not working. After trying it 4 or 5 times by looking at the symbols myself, I even watched a video of someone else doing it and they were able to get it without any issues doing it the same way and in the same order i did. Am I missing something here? Does this one have some sort of prerequisite or is my game just bugged? I'm not stepping out of the circle either. I'm on ps5 if that matters.
