So I've been replying DS3 and am a bit confused. At the beginning while playing as Tim you have to find the codex and bring it to Serano and ultimately die to the military commander.

Later in the game you play a voice message from Serano explaining he knows that the moon is alive and that the natives froze the planet and shutting off the machine will resume convergence

First part, why are you trying to turn off the machine when playing as Tim. Tim even says "we can get it to the city there's still time"

Second part, why is it that the breathern moons haven't found earth already since Dannik has been liberating the markers for a while now? What is so special about this breathern moon?

Third part, ultimately the military commander is the smartest person in the galaxy because he made sure no one replicated the process and turned off the machine
