Hey I’m 44 years old and my wife is 40. She has a LL where I have always had a super hl. We been married for over 20 years with no kids. Our first year of dating the sex was great, then after a year or so married the sex just crawled to a slow death. Her issues are mainly that she doesn’t find any form of physical contact enjoyable most of the time. She describes intercourse as painful like she is having knives shoved in her. I understand that it hurts but she refuses to believe that it hurts me in ways even I don’t fully understand too. She will not try to meet me halfway and try to have a somewhat regular sexual relationship it’s pretty much all on her terms unless I am super extra needy. In the past she has let me have partners outside of our marriage but she did this mainly to let me have some pleasure. This was acceptable for awhile but now she has said absolutely not allowed anymore. The rest of the marriage is great, we barely argue about anything important it’s always something little to both of us. So I am not wanting to end it, but looking for advice on how we can respect each other’s feelings and issues and satisfy what we need from each other.
