Tips for falling asleep

I’m assuming I’m not alone in the torturous hell it is to lay beside someone you love and esker only to hear them sleeping while you lay awake with the hellacious thoughts circling. So what’s your tips and tricks to fall asleep and reduce the anxiety? I ask this as I lay on the screen porch sofa drinking rum until I fall asleep. Not ideal. 😞
