Curious what the members of this sub think about the book, sex at dawn?
If you aren't familiar, the book theorizes that so many people struggle to keep the fire going in long term relationships because it's not the way our species has lived for the majority of the time of our species existence. For the majority of the history of our species we have lived in tribes with no long term coupling. As a result, we have not yet adapted as a species to long term monogamy.
It's an interesting perspective to consider. It seems most people blame their selves or their spouses when the fire goes out when it could just be we are asking our bodies to do something they havent evolved to do.
I just would love to get the thoughts of the people in this sub on that book and that theory.
Thanks!
