This morning while I (41M HL) was getting ready for work, my wife (44F LL) was getting in the shower. This is rare, as she doesn’t like to shower with me in the room, because she says she doesn’t like for me to “ogle” her while bathing. We’ve spoken recently about our DB and she knows how depressed and frustrated I am by it. Well, seeing her naked and specifically not paying attention to her to keep her comfortable, I just got really sad thinking about the lack of intimacy in our marriage. I love her, and she’s such a wonderful wife in nearly every way, except this one thing. Unfortunately it’s a pretty big thing. I feel so lonely a depressed.

UPDATE: She surprised me in my home office after lunch! Gave the kid a tablet to amuse himself, and we had sex! I still didn’t finish, but we tried some new things I’ve been asking for. She saw my sadness this morning and made the effort. Long way to go and probably a one off, but I’m taking the win and enjoying the rest of the day.
