My BF and I (HLF) have been dating about a year. We went from having sex essentially every day (and often multiple times a day - I was in heaven) to having sex 3-4 times a week, to 2x a week with me initiating both times. We’re at a point where we sometimes have sex 3x a week, with me initiating either 2/3 times or 3/3 times. I know that I shouldn’t sound bitter, because for a lot of you sex 2 or 3 times a week would be a huge step up but...I’m honestly still not happy. I do love him and I feel incredibly selfish for not being satisfied with this amount. I masturbate to satisfy myself on the other days but...it still doesn’t feel like enough. He has been better with me initiating and does seem into it when it happens (albeit, he does make little comments that I don’t care for from time to time). I know that a compromise means both parties are giving something up. Am I just being unreasonable? Does this just take time to adjust to? How are you guys dealing with your compromises?
