I've been out of the house for over a week. We are entirely civil. We went to the courthouse this morning to file the papers only to find out we had the wrong ones.
I was talking to my aunt today, and I told her basically what I said above...the fear of leaving is so much worse than actually leaving was.
Im back at my mom's for the moment while I try to find a house. That part sucks, but other than that, it's mostly okay, aside from the emotional ebb and flow of all of it.
For those of you who are scared but considering leaving... Take it from me... I was in a 9 year relationship that should have been done in a few months... Don't be afraid... The world is your oyster or whatever corny shit you want to say it is... But don't be afraid... You'll be okay...
