Rather, not things, but one thing that really stood out last night.
Its been a while since I've posted here, because my wife and I had worked on reviving out DB, but the past few months its been rearing its ugly head.
My wife is miserable. I am miserable. Both for different reason. This obviously is a major source of fights.
Its safe to assume why I'm miserable. The lack of sex and intimacy. She is miserable primarily due to living where we are. She wants to be gone yesterday, living in a more, in her words, a place where people are friendlier. Although I don't see this area we live in as a problem, I do understand her feelings. If this area isn't meant for her, I know shes not going to be happy.
So last night in our argument, we get on the topic of what we are lacking in this marriage. I mention intimacy, among other things.
I'm told "If you unconditionally loved me, you would put your needs aside and understand that I'm not going to do things I don't want to do."
I'm somewhat blown away at the moment. I can't help but feel both that this statement is true and false at the same time. Hell, she saw I was suffering about 2 years ago, and realized we need to fix this, she came up with ideas to do so.
So anyone else get the "if you love me..." card from their LLs?
