My partner (31LLF) bought a 1000 piece puzzle a while back. I (30HLM) started it with her kids the other day and her and I have been doing little bits on it since.
Yesterday I walked past her in jeans and she cat called me, I told her perhaps she should back up her sound with actions and she gave me a look and said âmaybe laterâ. This had happened before so I didnât get my hopes up and left it at that.
Later on in the day she puts a prescription in for birth control. Again, she does this a lot and we have only taken advantage of her being on it once this year. Sheâs doing the puzzle so I grab her hand and lead her into the bedroom. We start kissing and fall onto the bed and lay there for a little bit kissing. I start caressing her thigh as we kiss and turn things up a notch but I donât get a response from her. I ask her if she wants to get back and do the puzzle and she says yes. I say that I take it she no longer wants to do anything and she says no not tonight.
I should have known better and knew that her maybe meant a no and that her cat call meant nothing

People always say that Reddit says to leave, which we do, but 9 times out of 10 you really should. And in this case, you should. You have no kids together and arenât married. Why stay and marry into this where itâll only get worse? 25 years from now youâll look back and wish you didnât. Choose wisely.
