Long time lurker first time poster. Like all of you I (50m) found myself in a DB situation with my (45f) wife. It started with medication she was taking and continued after she stopped. And yes, it sucks. But after years of being in this situation I can honestly say it’s the support I’ve gotten from women in similar situations that has kept me going.
So I figured maybe it’s time to give back a little encouragement.
One thing that I absolutely do not condone is women that blame themselves to the point of living a crushing existence under the rock their SO created. Ladies, please don’t do that to yourself. While every situation is unique with it’s set of problems, understand it’s not all because of you- how you look, how many pounds you’ve gained post childbirth, etc. Trust me. You look beautiful.
So find the support you need. Take the compliments when they’re handed out. Be the self confident woman you once were. You got this.
