Hi,
I just joined this community and have been thinking about learning technical/trading, etc. in general and hopefully make a career in trading in the future (5-7 years down the line)
Any tips, books, resources, personal anecdotes, software that I need to/should learn, programs for paper trading that have helped you or any kind of information that will help me in learning more about trading. Be it reading charts, learning about various asset classes, how to go about preparing your trading desk, the psychology required etc. (You guys get the point, I guess)
My approach is to start with reading books on chart patterns and the basics of technical analysis first and then go about paper trading(don't know where to start) for a while and back test/test stuff over and over again. (I don't know if my approach is correct)
Sorry if I have offended anyone in anyway whatsoever. Don't want to be one of those guys who collects all the resources and doesn't do anything with it!
Any help will be highly appreciated!!
