Post Body

I have been trading for 2 years now. I just wanted to tell you a couple things that I really think are important and have helped me a lot on my trading journey. . I hope this helps some of you or all of you. I also hope that other successful traders can agree with this and let me know if maybe I’m missing something. As always you should strive to learn more and always perfect your own craft.

  1. Having a successful strategy is only half the battle. For example: knowing your set up and what works for you.

  2. Trading psychology is the other half the battle. For example: greed will kill you and your account every time. Remember it’s not a sprint, it’s a journey. Overtime your account will grow. It’s ok to lose a little and gain more than you lost and lose a little again and again gain more. 1% all the time can add up and when you get those big winners just appreciate them for what they are.

  3. Tools can help, but understand what it does and what you need. In my case. The most helpful tool I have is an mt4 trading assistant that helps trade the correct lot size, enter a specific risk/reward ratio such as 1:2 or 1:3 and will even automatically move my stop loss once I reach a certain profit such as 1:1 or 1:2 so even if the market reverses before I reach my take profit I’m still up for that trade.

4.Take the time to find a YouTuber or mentor that trades what you want to trade or already trade and try to take what you can from them. Be a sponge and learn. Also journal your trades. Write down why you took that trade whether you won or loss and if you can take a picture or print it out and give yourself something to look back on.

All of these things have helped me so much and I have so much more growing to do. Lastly don’t overthink things. You’re gonna see so much b.s but eventually you’ll get the hang of what worth listening too and what’s not. In my opinion I noticed a lot of YouTubers who are successful who say the same thing and took note of that. That made a big difference as well I hope you guys can sift through it all and find out what to do
