I am not (yet) a daytrader. I would be glad to have your opinion.
The EU-ETS system is about tradeable emission allowances. The number of available certificates is actively being reduced year by year in order to reduce the total emissions of the European Union.
So, I assume this is a relatively safe investment because there is a sound likelyhood that (in the long term) the value will always increase and it will probably not drop dramatically for a longer period of time - the EU emission reduction targets are politically fixed and the EU is politically pretty stable. Also this has nearly no corellattion with general market trends.
Now, these certificates have some volatility and, as I have time, I could buy and sell them and make some money with it - without a lot of risk. I would to this via a tracker certificate, e.g. from UBS - (link).
What needs to be taken into account?
