A Grand Steppe
Post Body

And so Tharzuz would wake from his hard work, but he was not yet ready to work his magic. He had seen the work of Cainus and how it had fit into his design quite well, and he had learned that there was indeed existence of other deities with both Cainus and the one seemingly obsessed with death and souls, Solace. Tharzuz was both excited and scared, for these deities could help him create the paradise that his existence was created for. However, they could also tear down the work he had done and the work he shall do, and Tharzuz feared that possible reality. And so, he would set out to wander farther beyond than he ever had to discover the world.

He set off to the south, where he would find many small islands and a very large active volcano. He would enjoy the days of humid heat and varied ecosystems before he would tire of that and set off once more. As he continued in the same direction, Tharzuz would come across more islands near the ice caps in the far south that mimicked similar features to the work Cainus had done near his own domain. As he then went to the east, he would cross a strange strip of land laying within the primordial mist. He spent very little time there before heading further east, when he would find an incredibly large mass of land that challenged the size of his own domain. There were many varied ecosystems throughout his land as he crossed over sand dunes and mountains and into forests. He eventually wound into the plagued lands in the southern regions of this landmass, of which the seemingly dead and diseased plant life saddened him at first but as he spent more time there he understood it's place within the natural world. As he journeyed to the southeast of the landmass, however, is where Tharzuz would first understand what the feeling of pain was. He walked onto the isle, where all he could see was this gigantic structure of winding pathways and buildings. He was brightened by the fact that there were gardens and plant life strewn throughout the compound but the existence of the palace itself simply confused Tharzuz. Why would someone choose to build such a thing, what could it possibly provide? Imagine the beauty if this was turned into a great mangrove or a wide open grassland. He would spend some time there contemplating what exactly could the nature of such a deity be to do something so heinous, before he would wander off yet again.

He would wander north to find yet again more islands reminiscent of Cainus's lands. These lands were cold and relatively barren, but still beautiful in Tharzuz's eyes. Tharzuz would then wander to the edge of the eastern lands before finding an isle covered in mist. Once again, however, he was met with disappointment. The isle itself was beautiful but hovering above was a large palace-like structure that loomed over the isle. Once again he was struck with the reality that not just one twisted deity, but another had chosen to use their power to create something that would not expand the natural world. As Tharzuz journeyed back in a mix of wonder and anger, he would leave behind him a remnant of his emotion. A large landmass would sprout out of the mist and turn into a gigantic steppe teeming with small grasses and wildlife. Falcons and eagles hunted mice and guinea pigs while horses would roam the lands. This land was hardier and less forgiving than his traditional home of the forest, but it was one that still received the love of Tharzuz. It would forever remain a reminder of his first journey and the joys and pains that came with it.
