Post Body

Arkos loved life, and this planet was as yet mostly lifeless. He needed to change that. He headed north, far from where most of the other Gods were currently claiming lands. Life needed room to flourish, and he would not find it there.

He stopped upon reaching the great glacier that covered this part of the world, and just off the coast he strode over the waves, singing a song, calling the life forming within the young waters. The earth grew into a great island. Mountains rose on its northern edge, screening the southern slopes from the chill arctic winds, a southern breeze brought rain and rain brought growth until seeds he planted in the song began to sprout. Sprout and grow into trees taller than would be seen in most other lands he knew. Smaller trees sprouted and grew beneath them, and bushes and smaller green things beneath those still. He sang up fish from the depths to swim upriver, and awakened animals sleeping within the earth to feast on the fruits of his labor.

When he saw that what he was good, he retreated nearby, to watch over this new life, and make room for more.

The land is a temperate rainforest on the southern side and arctic on the northern.
