L'zthnyl watched with jealousy as the Fae fought back against his actions with their magics. His worshipers found themselves powerless to fight back except with their axes and their hands, having to take casualties way higher than they should. L'zthnyl had done what he could in his position to strike at Eya and her Fae, but he could empower his followers with something greater than themselves.

His followers that dedicated themselves to him and his power, opened them up to his corruption and his mind, his shamans, were slowly given rewards as they continued to serve him. They were granted the power over the world around them as boons, in return for their doing of L'zthnyl's bidding. They would find themselves with the knowledge of incantations that could spread death and decay over the living. Others would learn of ways in which they could decay and poison the crops and plants of the world, causing great famines and blights. Some found themselves realizing what the crystals of the land of V'khaj'laho were capable of, and discovered the desire of that power for themselves. As time went on, the shamans of L'zthnyl's following would discover these things as they journeyed to his plane.

While this would be the way in which the information of the Path of Pestilence would first be brought to this world, some would write down what they discovered and sharing it with others, combining their work into forms in which they could teach new shamans. As time would go on, the demand that the shamans of the Crudae Cult would have to journey to L'zthnyl's plane would decline as the information learned would be passed down by generation after generation. As this came to be, however, those who did choose to continue to journey would find themselves rewarded with boons greater than those of before. And, as always, it was still a rite of passage to journey there before one officially becomes a shaman, and thus all who are experience it at least once.

[M] Creating a magic system, The Path of Pestilence, which grants those who risk learning it power over disease and the occult magics of the Plague Ridden. While none have discovered as of yet, it even grants the knowledge on how to harness the power of the Crystals of Abdulbaith to create a sort of necromancy.
