Eya, a constant thorn in L'zthnyl's fun, had yet again lashed out against the great realm that had been created. She had formed this "Dawn's Law," where the Sun itself has begun to strike at his undead playtoys, forcing him to darken V'khaj'laho permanently. Moreso, this figure of the Father Bear had stolen some of his entertaining wildmen. The Dambalak and other creations also struggled in the sunlight, seeming to strike right at them. This seemed like a direct strike on the world as a playground, and he could hear the cries of his people. The Nether Council had reached out to the god, praying that he would return some of the Wildmen to the fold. Many of the mercenary companies in the Great Vampire War found their vampire bosses unable to fight well in the sunlight, and asked their patron to release them from this pain so that they may return to their way of life. L'zthnyl had to do something.
He spent some time in his cave, preparing and waiting. Eventually, the time came to act, and he struck at what he believed would Eya would care most about. First, he would walk through the forest of the Ents, spreading the Unseen Plague into the east. The Ents and the forest around them seemed to groan out in unison, as they literally fell apart. Their bark grew dark and weak, their wood appearing almost pale white. This was no plague targeted such at the Ents, however, for this one seemed more malicious. The area itself seemed to turn, before the entire region of beautiful forest turned into a grassland similar to the steppes of the Dybukk.
Another outbreak appeared in the Dryads of the forest, although they were prepared having experienced it once. But, like the one that attacked the Ents, this one had an air of malicious intent around it. Even the Woodfolk could feel it, as if the air itself turned rancid. Pixies around the world felt a tug at the corner of their minds, almost as if someone, or something, was whispering inside them. The ones that already were more twisted than the rest seemed to give in to the voices, going insane. They began to get worried, as it didn't seem to be going away.
Finally, the final stage of the plan appeared. Around the World Tree and the forest in the south rancid air spread, as the plagues all combined their corruption to the center of Aya's power, the World Tree. The roots itself seemed to curl up in response, and a black strike seemed to be growing in a small area near the bottom. The Fae people seemed to all recoil in pain as the roots of the world itself seemed to feel the great darkness spreading at once.
L'zthnyl, satisfied with his strike against Eya and her precious Fae, soon complained to the gods that he knew the Dawn's Law and Eya's fervor had affected. He called upon what gods he could consider friends and warned them of his actions, and asking them to join him to give Eya a warning, one that she couldn't ignore.
