L'zthnyl, in all his business with the crystals he had created, was finally able to rest when he noticed something new in the west. It was the work of Kafhas, the God of Judgement and Death. The island of Nazhavec, a beautiful creation no doubt, had been cast not too far, and a new seat of power from an unknown deity had appeared even closer to the Rotbog.

L'zthnyl then worked to connect the Rotbog and these northern lands to this new creation, and for the first time made a large body of water. However, while it connected to the Sea of Fire, this area, known as the Great Depths, was extremely deep with large, dark trenches and still water. The currents were not present in this place, and there was an air of....something there that shouldn't be.
