The great beast lurked in the depths of the The Grand Expanse, a great finned creature the likes of which myths and legends would fail to describe in it's entirety. It's scale varied, and incomprehensible - the largest specimen of whichever species it is decided to be seen as - although constant in the reducing trend as it traversed the murky depths and neared towards the misty coasts.

From the deep it continued North, the Grand Expanse coming to an end it's bland Oceanic home giving way for a vibrant reef. The Azure seas framed the prismatic colours of the reef, a blur of motion as shoals of fish, obscuring the rolling hills of pulsating anemones and unnaturally dense forests of sea weeds blowing gently in the undersea currents. The celestial fish, by now had shrunk tremendously, from a whale the likes of which the world will never see again, down to a shark of notable scale. But further north it continues, ever shrinking as it does.

As the Fish shrank, as did the bodies of water, from the depths of the reef down to a tidal flat, further down to the delta of a great river. Here the Fish would grow notorious as The Prized Catch, a fish of legend, and a likely candidate for godhood. Around it, upstream as it swam, the mists did clear around, revealing at first a continuation of the fields of wild grain that sprawled from the Well-Laden Plate's seat of power, but further north it shrank into tributaries and trickles amongst the roots of a dense Orchard. Ripe fruits fell from the trees into the mouth of the waiting Prized Catch as it's exploration finished. The creature had come to spawn the first of the generations of river fish whose number would seem impossible if not for the fallen fruits.

And home it headed, up the river at the Land of Plenty met the newly formed seas.
