By 3227, Onera had managed to conquer both the Almarans and the peoples of the Lower Noutezu. This, besides cementing his power as leader of the Miecans, ensured that the steppe salt trade was now almost under complete control of the Miecans. Another advantage was that Miecan ships could now cross the strait without issue to trade with the Kriothi, besides having access to skilled gem manufacturers. Eventually, even some of the Almaran beliefs and customs would be absorbed into Miecan society, but that was a matter for another time (aka when I read what Roq has written on their culture).
