I'm not sure what you're expecting here (unless you've been following my previous two expansions) but if you guessed anything else but overpopulation then boy are you wrong.
With new sources of food being brought to the attention of Tupain farmers with an abundance of new foods more people decided to have more children now that they can support them and use their sweet, sweet, labour to grow even more food to support even more children that lead to even worse overpopulation problems causing, even more, people to leave the comfortable floodplains of the Karrota river and flee up north into a region that made the Tupain territory look something like this.
