Having been in conflict among themselves or with foreigners for as long as even their most ancient stories, the period dubbed the Time of Peace by the Bo-hyuu in Panaeolus was very simply unprecedented in the history of Radet-Ashru. With little to fear from their neighbours, the people of Radet-Ashru had time to turn to higher minded pursuits than war and thus turned to building a better life for themselves.
One of the first developments was lead by daeth in Noon, who could not help but notice that the Ongin to their east utilised rather curious fluffy beasts not only as a source of food but also of a textile that when properly utilised was both comfortable and remarkably warm, suitable for Noon's winters which could be decidedly chill. Although these sheep were brought home and utilised in Radet-Ashru, they appeared largely unsuitable for the climate and thus a majority of the animals utilised by the Radeti remained overseas.
In matters of farming, the Radeti also looked towards their eastern neighbours. First adopting the differential gear to improve the function of mills, they followed up this development with the water wheel, which quickly proved a great benefit to the countless farms adjacent to the Radet river. Another foreign mechanism adopted was the crank, which proved a great boon in works of construction and equally importantly in the loading and unloading of boats at docks.
Also of great interest to the Radeti was the Hashas practice of lens-grinding, a hitherto unknown use of the glass which had originated in Radet-Ashru. Although remaining a mere curiosity to Radeti merchants for some time, the lenses quickly garnered the attention of Santu's Matriarchs, who quickly set about researching the curious properties the lenses appeared to have. The culmination of their exhaustive research was an understanding of optics, the nature of light and its behaviours.
Not to be outdone by their optically minded peers, fierce competition broke out among other luddu to document the nature of the movement of objects, looking at everything from the falling of a rock to the flight of an arrow and compiling their understanding into a treatise of Riaen [Aristotlean] physics, named after the Artluddu Matriarch Riae who rationalised the works of various researchers into a single understanding with only minor apparent contradictions.
The crowning of the new Orluan monarch was a remarkably cosmopolitan affair which brought the peoples of many realms together, and many state officials from far off homelands developed rapports with one another. Among ideas brought home by the Radeti were hand pumps and pack saddles.
Finally, as part of the payment received by Radeti mercenaries for their services to the Arath in the war with the Erhteht, the Arathee art of falconry was passed to the people of Radet-Ashru.
