The Vraichem and Arathee are quite close, Abe a number of things have been learned from them over the centuries of trade.

The first are methods of improving farming. Crop Rotation allows farmers to take full advantage of the strange properties legumes. Rainwater Collectors allowed catchment of water from the sky, while Wells allowed drawing of water from the earth. Shadoofs made it so that water could be brought up layers more easily, especially useful in the highly terraced farming of Arath.

A number of new crops were also introduced to the Arathee. African Cabbage and African Locust Bean were two crops that were similar to those already known, while Desert Dates and Onions looked quite strange at first.

To those living on the coast, Carpentry and Planked Canoes were a significant upgrade.
