Yathora - noun: Nothingness, chaos, emptiness, void

The Sau, or Grand Unifier, is the ultimate ruler of the Buburu and the Ok’un, leading the group of loosely connected towns through abnormal affairs.

However, upon the death of Adeg’ori Opeyeme, the last Sau, there was no viable successor. Several semi-important people tried to rise up to the throne, but the farthest they could get to becoming the Sau was to become the pseudo-mayor of Orita, the pseudo-capitol.

This didn’t have a huge impact on the daily life of most Buburu nor Ok’un. They continued to engage in trade and make their livings as they always had.

Life continued this way for several hundred years, before finally a rich, educated monk from Ilmenbuisun convinced the people along the coast to accept him as the new Sau.

He was generally well-liked among the people, as he helped to expand ports and grow the educated class of Buburu.

His move to Orita was, unlike previous attempts, extremely successful. It was a smooth transition, and soon people were lining up at his door to meet the person that would soon be proclaimed Kosau- the Greatest Unifier.

He expanded the road system, planting stones and rocks in the old dirt roads to keep them intact. He was the first to use some sort of taxation system, taking valuables from coastal citizens that didn’t trade or fish enough. This lead to a boom in fishing innovations, such as better sails, hulls, and ships overall.

He set up official sailing routes, hiring experienced sailors to patrol the area’s waters so other boats could safely pass between the large cities in the mainland and Ilmenbuisun.

In the lands of the Ok’un, too, he tried to convince the herders and farmers there to grow their cow population, and better use them as well. Innovations such as the plow began to be used, and in order to better feed the increasing population, people began to hunt, and bows began to be used more often, replacing the Nzappa Zap and Knobkierie as the average person’s weapon of choice.

All this, without the man ever revealing his name.

Anyway, I’d just like to apologise for not posting in the last week, and basically being completely absent RP-wise. I do have a few posts envisioned, though, including (hopefully) a few explorations to contact nearby people!
