I am sickened to hear of the recent rape on the UC Davis campus, as I am sure all of you will be too.
To the UC Davis students among us, I want to remind you all that UC Davis has the free safe ride service available to you. https://police.ucdavis.edu/safe-rides If you are walking alone after dark, please use this service!
If you, or someone you know is ever raped, please have them visit an ER as soon as they can. ER's can provide rape kits that can assist law enforcement in helping to catch the person who committed the act. There is also free mental health service available to students of UC Davis https://shcs.ucdavis.edu/services/counseling-services
To everyone, if you are arranging a hookup, please tell someone you know and trust where you are going and have a plan to contact them by a specific time to let them know things are ok.
